An Urgent Message of Pure Wondering-ness

Emm, hi! I was wondering if you ever considered writing another book (or two) as a sequel to 'An Urgent Message Of Wowness'? I would love, love, love it if you did, because I really like that book, and I really want to know more about Heather, and I want to find out what happens next! Thank you for all your awesome books, I love them (I have loads of them on my christmas list!) :D

1. I'm an indie rock girl, but I love a dollop of good pop too.
2. I adore them. I smile at them in the street (they usually smile back).
3. It was my birthday the day before the Edinburgh Book Festival event – I turned 46. Eeek! How did that happen? Must be some mistake...
4. I did Brownies, but not Guides (some clique-y girls went to that, so I bottled out).
5. I did a Graphic Design course when I left school, but haven't drawn for years. Must take it up again!
6. An interior designer. But I didn't get on the course I wanted at university! I was broken-hearted at the time, but then if I'd done that, then I wouldn't be doing this, if you see what I mean.
7. I really want to read other authors' books but never have time to (it'll be my New Year's Resolution to MAKE time!).
8. 'Marshmallow Magic and the Wild Rose Rouge' - I surprised myself with the twist!
9. I really love 'Gregory's Girl', a sweet and kooky film from the '80s, set in a Scottish secondary school. The love story's cute, and the lost penguin (!) is genius.
10. Yep. I live in Converse. Apart from my very lovely Rocket Dogs!

Dear the v. groovy Karen, I love your books. Ally's World rocks! I would say I was a mix of Ally and Sandie, shy,easily embarrassed and always getting into trouble! But if I was Ally, i would... Give Dad huge hugs. Help Rowan with her latest creation. "Accidentally" wander into Linn(he)'s room when she is out with Alfie and jump up and down on her pristine bed with my muddy boots, then scarper to see Billy when the Grouch Queen appears. Play with Ivy and her (shared) collection of soft toys, not forgetting the much-loved Mr Penguin. Muck around with Billy. Take Tor to the pet shop and then tell him I'll take him to the cinema to see "Super Rabbit" with Ivy. Relax with my brill mum and tell her how much I love having her around. Phone Sandie and ask her how Bath is....

AI absolutely adore your books. I had brought your book "An Urgent Message of Wowness" to read when I went on holiday to London. I was really enjoying but on the last night I forgot the book. HOW STUPID???!!!

Thank the lemons for karma!

Just wanted to say an elephantine thank you for 'The Seventeen Secrets of the Karma Club' (why am I telling you the title of your own book?). I got it this morning and I have already read all of it! I positively adore it!

Oh, and now you're probably wondering what in the name of all that is fruity the title of this e-mail is all about. Well, my friends and I were out shopping and we had a competion to see who could buy the most yellow stuff – and of course, being a total bookworm I headed straight for Waterstones (kind of a weird idea looking back on it – a grocers would have been a safer bet, but hey ho) when I saw your book. Now, credit where credit's due, you beat off a lot of my other favourite authors (not literally though) for my attention, so congratulations, it is a wonderful book and thank you soooooooo much!

Eeeeeeeekkkkk eeeeekkkkkk EEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!!! today i have just found out (breathe) that YOU are coming to MY school in Dover to do a book signing TOMORROW! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!!!!!! (That's good.) When my form tutor told me (three days ago) I screamed! (Silently, thank goodness) you have also come to see Year Eight (doh! I'm in Year Seven) but still I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! Yay! Anyway, I can't wait!!! Yay! Hurray!!! Tee hee!

Fabulously fantastically amazing!

I just wanna say how fabulously fantastically amazing your books are! I love the 'Stella Etc.' books, and I think 'Marshmallow Magic And The Wild Rose Rouge' rocks! And, this is amazing, Heather is so like me in 'An Urgent Message Of Wowness'. I collect crazy things too, and do the cool carrier bag to school thing as well And I have a telescope I have only used once. It's sort of freaky, but cool...

...sooooooo much for coming to visit our school in Tulla. We love your books and we would love for you to continue writing lots and lots more. Olwyn was absent from school the day you came to visit and would like to say "thank you" for signing her book. Please visit us again, hopefully with a lot more new books.

Umm, I just felt like leaving a comment...

What would I like to say? How about THANK YOU for writing a great series of books (Ally's Wold) to prevent boredom. And giving an expert worrier like me something to relate to when I cut my fringe too short. And many other stuff, but I don't want my cheeks to go red. Oh yeah, and thanks for the writing tips, being a wannabe writer like myself they are useful. Very useful. Hasta la vista!
