New covers v. old covers

Lots of people have been writing about the new-look covers for 'Ally's World' and 'Stella Etc' here in the UK (decided by my publishers and NOT me, by the way!). Some love the new covers and some prefer the old covers, and some are bugged that they have some of their collection in the old style and now the new style's come out and their collection's mismatching! I'm stuck in the middle – I love the old covers ('cause I love the detail in Spike's drawings), but the new ones are so gorgeous and sheeny-shiny... But hopefully, you all still like what's inside!

i agree with you, i can't choose! but yeah it just looks (and feels) odd when the covers don't match!

i don't really care what the covers look like(although i find it a bit of a shame the way that i have all of the stella etc books in the old covers exept for the last one!!!) i just LOVE what's inside!!!!! your books are great!!!!!

I like shiiiiinnnny!!!!!!!!! theyre soooooooooooo shinyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! they make shiny patterns on the ceiling and thats coooooooool!!!!!!!! I dont care if they dont match coz i get them from the libery! i love love love them!!!!!!!!!! I quite like the old ones to but i like shinyyyyyyyyy beta!!!!!!!!!

I think that the old covers for stella tc. were much better- i liked all the different things going on. And it's annoying that i have stella etc no 1- 6 in cool old and no. seven in shiny new. Not fair, but the allys world covers arent really a LOT different, not like stella, only shinier...

I like the old covers because on the Ally's World ones a lot was going on. And on the Stella Etc u could see all her friends building up. Also I have not read the last Stella Etc going to buy it tomorrow when out with all my matez!!!

I think the new covers are OK but i've already collected a few stella etc.'s in the old cover and all i can find now is the new cover!!!

Hi! Does anybody by anu chance have a hi-res scan of the new cover of "The past, the present and the loud, loud girl"? I really want to have it - front and back, so i can print it and use it for my old-look covers.

Hi Karen, i love the old ones cause i haven't seen the new ones, but if they're bright i expect I'd love 'em! 'Course i love what's inside...I love anything 2 do with your books. It doesn't matter about the cover, it's how good the actual book itself is! Katz xxx

I haven't managed to see the front cover of the "Stella Etc" books but then again it does not really matter what the front cover really looks like it is the writing inside it that counts!!

i like the new covers, but the old covers i like a bit more as they are more detailed, i have got the whole ally's world collection in the new covers. the new covers are nice and shiny though!

here is a tip!!! (btw i hope you dont mind this tip Karen!!!) if you want to collect the rest of any series in the old covers and all you can find is new, you could always look on ebay... they are bound to have some books in their old covers!!!!! i love whats inside though!!!

Hi. I love the old covers. they're really bright and colourful! But you cant buy them anywhere!! :-( But of course i love whats inside! I have most of the Ally's world series and love it. I've also got "Twists Turns and 100% Tilda". I love all your books!

I think the new covers r much beter the old 1's got old and boring but I do understand people who say they've got half in the old cover and half in the new BUT never judge a book by it's frontcover . It's the same story so it does'nt matter wat cover you have !!

I've got 1 problem I can't find the 1st copy of Ally's world so I've ordered it over t'internet but I'm worried I won't get it in time for my holidays. It's probably the old copy but lik I said before it's what inside that counts.

I get my books from the library so it dosent matter to mr anyway I like both the covers the old ones were really cool and luminous but the new ones are all shiny well wateva the colour I will always love wats inside and thats the thing that counts,right?
