Oo-er, it's been cold. The icy blasts have been whistling up through the gaps between my polished floorboards, resulting in me doing something very drastic... The thing is, I've always had a bit of a thing about slippers (a sort of "I hate them" thing), but my tootsies could stand no more arctic conditions, so I've finally given in and bought myself a pair of black slipper bootees, that are slightly Ugg-ish.
The trouble is, I HAD hoped they'd look cool and trendy compared to normal slippers, but they look more like I'm wearing a pair of comedy bear feet. Ho hum – at least I'm warm.
Actually, I may take myself, my computer and my bear feet upstairs and start writing my next book in bed. Mmmm...

hello! i have a weird sort-of obsession with slippers, that is i buy (lots and lots) of them and then never wear them! At the moment (after a big slipper clear out) i have one slipper-sock pair with cow's heads on (amazing, i know!), one pair from River Island (cute purple bow - couldn't resist) an old pair of grey and pink ones which i can't bear to throw out and a pair from dotty p's which a friend bought me for xmas 2007! I very nearly bought a pair of white UGG-ish ones from la senza in the sale too, luckily there were only 'large' left which were way too big! i would by lots more but my mum would kill me (not literally of course - my mums the best!!!)if i bought anymore!!! anyway, i'll go now and take my random slipper-wafflings with me! by the way, i love all your books and am re-reading sadie rocks (for the gazillionth time!!). cant wait for the new one! xxxx
