Does Ally's house really exist?

I got an e-mail from Jess Bird (hi Jess!), asking if Ally's house really exists. Well, yes and no - I mean, there were a couple of houses round where I live in Crouch End that inspired me. They had stuff like handmade mobiles hanging in their windows, and plant pots covered in mosaic (with fat cats sleeping in them). I haven't told the people inside that their houses ended up in a series of books (sort of)!

I love the Ally's World series, it's fantastic and I recommend anyone to read it! Wait a second, need to turn the TV off cause it's distracting me from writing. Right, now I'm back. Yes, I wish I could've been there to see those houses with you. They seem really nice. I like the bit in The past, the present and the loud, loud Girl when Colin sleeps on top of Ally's hair. I think Sandie sounds a bit kind of bossy, but she's a great best friends in many ways! Katz xxx
